Photo Point 270
Description:
Looking SW from Butterfly Peak to the ridge above Soldier Camp and Bear Wallow.
The photo station is in pine-oak habitat (see data), but the ridge is mixed confier. This steep north-facing slope is remarkable for its absence of pines. Instead there are white fir, doug fir, maple, and gambels oak, with an understory of Jamesia.
