Pinus arizonica

This species name is used when the trees were recognized as having five-needles. P. arizonica is sometimes viewed as a synonym for P. ponderosa. In this study, a tree identified as P. ponderosa may be either five-needled or three-needled; a tree identified as P. arizonica five-needled.
