Description:
Upper Bear Canyon, as seen from the slope above General Hitchcock Campground. The canyon bottom is 40 - 59 % cover of Pinus ponderosa, Quercus arizonica. The tall trees on the opposite slope are doug fir and more ponderosa.
The foreground vegetation is dominated by silverleaf oak.
