Photo Point 064
Description:
Along the Old Sonoita Highway one mile north of Interstate 10.
The soaptree yucca is the keynote species. Its distribution within the LTA is patchy, however. The dominant species are the 4-7 foot tall trees – mesquite, catclaw, and blue paloverde – and low mats of fairy duster. The most common bunch grasses are Lehmann lovegrass and bush muhly. Creosote bush and saguaro do not occur within this LTA.
