Photo Point 057
Description:
On the left of the ridge is a typical granitic slope within this LTA. To the right is the schist of LTA 29.
The schist holds mostly mesquite, ocotillo, and beargrass. The granite is largely Mexican blue oak, manzanita, and hopbush. The canyon bottom vegetation, part of LTA 28, in the foreground is velvet ash, hackberry, and Emory oak. At its lower elevations, this LTA (15) is characterized by stands of saguaro cactus.
