The foreground vegetation is sideoats grama, mesquite, manzanita, redberry juniper, low mats of fairyduster, and knee-high thickets of thorny Mimosa. The south-facing slopes of the hills in the midground are mostly grasses, fairyduster and beargrass; the north face holds oaks and juniper, 10-20 feet tall.
