Kristy Lund Bio

 

 

 

Kristy Lund is an Interagency Fire Management Officer, responsible for wildland fire management at Saguaro National Park, seven other National Park Service (NPS) units in Southern Arizona and the Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest. She received her B.A. in History from Missouri Southern State College in 1979 and completed the Technical Fire Management Program through the Washington Institute and Colorado State University in 1998. She began working for the NPS in 1982 and has served in a variety of positions in Interpretation, Law Enforcement and Fire Management. She began working in Interagency fire programs in the Mojave Desert in 1999, managing programs for both the NPS and Bureau of Land Management (BLM). She accepted her current position in 2005 and manages approximately 50 employees in an active wildland fire management program comprised of engines, helitack, handcrews and a NPS Regional-level Fire Use Module.
