Soil Summary:
dominant soils are very shallow and shallow to granite and similar rocks; very cobbly loams and very gravelly sandy loams throughout, and some better developed soils sandy clay loam subsoils; no lime; no to modest soil development; the mapped area is dominated by Pima County soil survey map units 40 (Lampshire-Romero- Rock outcrop complex, 10 to 65 percent slopes) and 52 (Oracle-Romero-Rock outcrop complex, 5 to 35 percent slopes) which comprise 66% and 34% of the unit, respectively
Geologic Materials:
alluvium, colluvium and residuum associated with landslide deposits (Qls) and the Catalina-Rincon igneous metamorphic complex (TXm) which comprise 54% and 46% of the unit, respectively
Landforms:
coarsely dissected, weakly incised mountain slopes
